Men Need Gifts Too

Valentine's Day is an occasion that we should all be familiar with, whether for good reasons or bad. Love is in the air for some of you whilst others will be holding their breath for dear life (don’t worry your time will come).
From my 21 years of living I’ve noticed this trend that is rather alarming... men don’t really get treated on Valentine's Day. It’s just us as men that are tasked with creating the day of a lifetime for you girls and spending our coin while you all sit back, snap and relax, enjoying the effort we put in.
Sounds fair doesn’t it ... LOOOOL sorry even I couldn’t fool myself with that one.

“You’ve Got Me” Ladies can we just clear up this social myth, I can’t speak for all guys but SEX IS NOT A GOOD GIFT. Yeah you heard me, so if any of you were planning that for the big token of love, I would probably rethink that one and head over to Argos or BoohooMan.
It sounds outrageous but some girls are rewarding their boyfriends on Valentine’s Day with lingerie and maybe some extra effort in the bedroom but overall the same sex as usualjust with a costume.
Now don’t get me wrong I know lingerie isn’t cheap, for those potentially feeling triggered while reading, but this day is supposed to be for expressing love and showing your partner how much they mean to you. Your boyfriend honestly will not feel ‘that’ loved with you telling him "you've got me” when he asks what you got for him… sorry sis!
“I don’t know what to get for him”Now come on as creative as you ladies are with makeup and hairstyles, you’re telling me that you can’t stretch your mind a bit further and find your man a suitable gift. There are many shops to get your man something.
You should all know your boyfriend’s likes and interests so getting a gift shouldn’t be too hard. I’m tired of you lot and your inability to make decisions a quick question of “what do you want to eat?”, turns into a riddle *eyes rolling*.Men aren’t as complex as you women, for valentine’s day if you just didn’t complain for the day, we’d be ever grateful.

Trading PlacesInspired by Usher’s great old school banger, I’m hoping this one doesn't burn (pun intended) but ladies maybe this Valentine’s Day you and your man trade places. You be the one that showers him with gifts and affection.
Masculinity is often heralded as this thing that means men don’t want and shouldn’t be the recipients of gifts and affection just the givers... BUT THIS IS WRONG guys love gifts as much as you!

Get him his favourite game, his favourite trainers, take him to dinner.
